They tried to scam me few days back but I didn’t stop. Noticed they are doing the same to someone else so informed them. This scam is so common in Pune.
Scammers deliberately point out that tyre pressure is low, or tyre is punctured. Once the driver stops, local “puncture repairmen” appear nearby and insist on fixing the tyre, often overcharging or creating fake punctures to increase the bill. In some cases, it’s also used as a distraction to steal valuables from the car while the driver is engaged.
