विवरण

Steven Douglas Corp. (SDC) developed a pre-engineered automated tray handling system for the consumer products industry. The system automates ink cartridge handling, carton loading, inspection, and downstream packaging with speed, precision, and reliability.

The application features twelve FANUC SR 6iA SCARA robots picking ink cartridges from trays and accurately staging them for an SDC servo driven pick and place system. Integrated machine vision and UV inspection verify glue presence prior to placement, ensuring consistent package quality. Automated box erecting, pamphlet feeding, folding, flap closure, taping, labeling, weigh checking, and robotic offloading complete a seamless end of line solution. Finished cartons are conveyed, transferred, and sorted for shipping.

Key Benefits
• High Speed Robotic Handling: FANUC SCARA robots deliver fast, repeatable pick and place performance.
• Improved Quality Assurance: Vision and UV inspection verify critical process steps.
• Increased Throughput: Fully automated carton handling supports continuous, high volume production.
• 10 Times Increase in Order Fulfillment Speed: Achieved through synchronized, high-speed automation integrating FANUC SCARA robots with SDC's automated systems.
