Happy New Year! This time, we visited Utsunomiya, Tochigi — known as the Gyoza Capital of Japan. The city has over 200 gyoza shops, offering all kinds of styles, from boiled gyoza and pan-fried gyoza to lettuce gyoza and creative original super unique flavors.
We visited 4 different gyoza shops and tried over 100 gyoza — and somehow, we never got tired of them! Honestly, if these shops were in Tokyo, every single one would be five-star level. Utsunomiya gyoza is definitely worth a visit and we’d happily come back again! 🤍🥟
