1. Scott Westgarth (27 July 1986 – 25 February 2018)
During the final round of the fight against Dec Spelman, Scott was knocked down, but was able to recover to ultimately win on points. He went on to conduct a post-match interview before consulting doctors in the dressing room he collapsed in the locker room, he was rushed to a nearby hospital and died.
2. Bernardo "Benny the Kid" Paret (March 14, 1937 – April 3, 1962)
In the twelfth round Paret was dazed by the initial shots and could not defend himself, the referee allowed Griffith to continue his assault. Finally, after twenty-nine consecutive punches which knocked Paret through the ropes at one point, the referee stepped in and called a halt to the bout. Paret collapsed in the corner from the barrage of punches (initially thought to be from exhaustion), fell into a coma, and died ten days later at the Hospital he died from massive brain hemorrhaging.
3. David Moore (November 1, 1933 – March 25, 1963)
In the tenth round Ramos staggered Moore with a left and then continued to pummel him with blows until he fell, striking the base of his neck on the bottom rope and injuring his brain stem.
Moore got to his feet for the eight-count and, despite Ramos' continuing attack, managed to finish the round on his feet, but the referee stopped the fight before the eleventh, and Ramos was declared the winner. Moore was able to give a clear-headed interview before he left the ring, but in the dressing room fell into a coma from which he never emerged. Moore's condition deteriorated, over 10,000 people filed by to pay respects.
4. Muhammad Alfaridzi (February 8, 1976 – April 02, 2001)
During his fight with Khongthawat, Alfaridzi was knocked out in the 8th round and fell into a coma for three days after suffering a brain injury.
5. Timothy Hague (May 9, 1983 – June 18, 2017)
Tim Hague a fighting veteran had once competed in the UFC before also competing in boxing during his fight with Adam Braidwood he was 1-2 as a professional boxer during the fight he was knocked down five times in the first two rounds; he died 2 days later due to the injuries he sustained.
6. Pedro "El Rockero" Alcázar (16 September 1975 – 23 June 2002)
Immediately following the bout, Alcazar was declared healthy by ringside doctors, with no visible signs of any trauma. He went sightseeing the day after the fight and was in his hotel room getting ready to fly back home when he collapsed. He was taken to hospital, where he died. This was the first time in boxing history that a boxer is known to have collapsed so long after the end of a fight.
