Through "Close Your Eyes," we think about various issues people face, such as struggles with drugs, alcohol, poverty, the burdens of life, and we highlight specific real life experiences depicted in our music video, such as babyloss, community members who are actively on the ground supporting those in need, striving to overcome obstacles, dealing with death, losing one's vision, and the potential slide into depression.
It reflects the way we were raised in our faith to confront the challenges we encounter. While we acknowledge the existence of various sources of support, such as families, friends, clinics, social workers, and counsellors, there are instances when we require personal space to navigate our difficulties independently or simply have some time to reflect. And frankly speaking, it is during these moments of solitude that we may find ourselves grappling with heavy and somber thoughts.
We hope this song is a powerful message to inform people that we genuinely understand some of their experiences. Ultimately, as a source of encouragement for those who feel isolated and hopeless, reminding them that they are not alone and that there is hope even in the darkest of times.
We have personally encountered being in this emotional state and are currently navigating our own journeys, constantly growing and learning despite the numerous distractions and challenges that hinder us from fulfilling our calling and purpose.
We sincerely hope that this song serves as an encouragement and a blessing to all who listen to it. Our prayer is that it uplifts and inspires you, providing solace and strength in times of need. May its message resonate deeply within your hearts and bring about positive transformations in your lives and it is for ours.
