An absolute GEM from First Dates, but sadly for all the wrong reasons. If the producers of the show SERIOUSLY thought this was a good pairing, someone needs to lose their job! Painful to watch - almost from the very beginning - we witness one of the most awkward dates in First Dates' history. Here, we have Tommy, the bus driver from Romford, and Luke, the tall, handsome, charming, electrician, on their First Date (First, and most definitely Last!)
Right from the start it's painfully obvious that this match is NEVER going to work - WOULD never have worked - on ANY level - and it only keeps getting worse as the evening wears on 😥 Tommy, bless his cotton socks, is seemingly oblivious to the problems right through till the bitter end of the date. Luke, however, is only too well aware of the nightmare situation as it unfolds. Tommy, believe it or not, is actually older than Luke, yet the gulf is WIDE! An unsuitable match in every possible way.
I'm not actually sure who I felt most sorry for - probably Luke, but he'll get over it! He's a big boy. As cringe-inducing as it is to watch, with Tommy bordering upon being a Ricky Gervais creation, it's a little bit sad that the producers couldn't have found better-suited dates for both of these guys. Together, they are WAY out of their depth, in very different ways.
Classic TV though, regardless. This particular pairing HAD to be immortalized on YouTube! ENJOY! 😂

Channel Four...get these guys back on, and match them with more suitable guys next time!! You did them both a disservice here!
