Description

We are sharing this video on World Autism Day 2025, and we hope you enjoyed seeing how Tommy was at this stage in his childhood age 9. Tommy loved going to the Experimental Farm in Ottawa weekly for visits. He loved Eyeore the donkey, and all the other animals. In this video, Tommy's first Autism Assistance Service Dog Guide, Sara, was 2 years old and still in ongoing training, so you will see how we were working with her towards the goal of having her become his guide dog. Tommy had a toy plastic donkey he brought to the farm, because he loved Eyeore the real donkey at the farm so much, and he felt his toy donkey needed a home there! So he was determined to find his toy donkey a home there! You will see in this video how Tommy spoke only in occasional single words, but luckily he could read well by age 9 and loved trying to read to learn all the names of the many cows so we video taped them for him to watch later at home. Tommy still loves often visiting this farm. It's now called the Agricultural Museum in Ottawa. If you watch until the end of the video, you will see Tommy's big brother Paul, and Tommy playing happily with Paul and friends at our home. Thanks so much for watching . Happy World Autism Day to all of Tommy's wonderful friends! Hugs
PS the lens needed cleaning. It was not our first priority. Sorry! Carry on.
