Don't forget to subscribe to follow the production process! If you would like to support the channel you can now do so with a Patreon donation from $2 a month, and get access to incremental update videos, wallpapers from my master files without youtube compression, draft animatics, and your name on screen! https://www.patreon.com/neonvisual Your support is greatly appreciated in covering costs of hardware and electricity rendering! Thanks :-)

Changelog:
-658 subs in the YouTube communities tab voted for the volumetric logo, and it's a beaut decision!
-Glow layers added to nacelles, bussards, nav deflector and windows
-Draft 2D starfield added (not 3D yet)
-LUT/colour correction
-Brightness correction
-Refined nacelle flashes
-Slightly increased warp jump speed
-TNG TV-style warp star
-Rerendered rear frames of ship with altered lighting rig and raytracing (awaiting same render of front 480 frames)
-6 Nav light flares and flashes (two remaining on the aft shot)
-Animated logo + volumetric edge rays
-Refined warp jump SFX
-Picard monologue added (unable to extract vocals at a reasonable quality from original intro so extracted from a game intro using an AI acapella process). Any one know of a clean version of Sir Pat's original TV monologue?

Remaining:
-Two nav light flares + flashes on aft frames
-Integrate rerendered front raytraced frames of the ship and associated brightness correction
-3D starfield
-Rerender 2D starfield with higher antialiasing ready to integrate with the rest of the intro
-Brighter rerender of logo animation
-Subtle lens dust effects for the nacelle flashes and warp star (
-Probably add a little more reverb to the warp star SFX
-Output finalised PNG frames without compression
-Considering creating a Patreon account, would anyone consider contributing $2 a month? Xander needs to upgrade from 1st to 3rd gen Threadripper, render times are a major bottleneck, $3000 dollar CPU = ouch!
