Description
Plastic diffusers that come with small video lights and flashes are worthless for portraits unless you are in a small room. But for large venues and outdoors- like weddings and event photography and videography, little plastic diffuser mainly just eat up the brightness of your light and do NOT soften shadows and they do NOT make soft lighting if the light is aimed at the person. If you want soft light and soft shadows like from a softbox, you'll need a real softbox, at least a small portable handheld one.
