My life 2021-end of 2023. When covid happened and everything shut down, I said this is the closest thing you'll ever get to a real life time skip if you can redirect it into your favor. I took advantage of that moment and the few years after to reset, rebuild, make big life changes, check off goals, and prepare for what I want to do next.

Everything closed down, I lost my job, put myself through intense study, switched careers, lost a fight, won a fight, recovered from a potentially career ending injury that I had been battling with, Im the strongest Ive ever been, Im right on the edge of the most powerful Ive ever been and will surpass it soon, and my life generally is progressing in a better direction than I could have ever anticipated. The only thing not quite up to par is my mental game. I lost a lot of confidence when battling my injury and dont have the same resources that I had to push myself when I previously reached peak mental game, and I have some mental trauma around the injury that I had, but we'll get there either way. Its just a matter of time.

For those wondering about the injury I had, in 2018 I slipped on a kong, flew headfirst at a wall, and only got my foot out in front to protect me. That caused an avulsion fracture where my tendon was basically ripping my bone apart. The problem was that it can be a career ending injury but doctors were really completely useless and kept telling me there was nothing wrong, so it took 3 years to actually find the the fracture. So I would rehab, recover my strength, get back to training, but I kept having a sense that even though I could jump and move without pain, it felt like my bones weren't connected (which turned out to be true). So after the original injury, I re-injured it 3 more times roughly a year apart each time. Finally in 2021 I was able to find someone who actually helped me find the issue. Once I knew what the problem was I was able to put together a plan to recover. I took about 3 months of 0 impact, and another 6 months of slowly rebuilding and now its been about 3 years of getting back to normal and building confidence in my foot again. So far its going strong so Im just going to keep trusting myself more and more and pushing training harder and harder.
