Introduction to a new design for a small air hammer.
This is a project I have been working on recently.... I named it "Thumper". It has a 20# ram and will be good for small forging projects....
This is a design alternative to the Cricket. I need to make a base before I do serious forging with it.
I will answer questions and post more information about this air hammer here and on my "Cricket Air Hammer" Facebook page, but do not plan to do a comprehensive set of build videos like I did for the Cricket... The air circuit in use is the same as the Cricket... minus the air gate (so it doesn't have single-hit and clamp capabilities).
The base is about 11 x 21 inches...
The hammer is just idling... It will cycle much faster...
