Fall Updates 💌 // I felt really inspired by video game cutscenes, so I wanted to make a no-talking vlog in the style of Animal Crossing (like the little introductory video by Nook when you’re about to fly to your island!) hope I was able to share some season’s festivities with everyone. 🍂
In the spirit of Halloween, I watched Hocus Pocus 1 for the first time. I found it so funny that the main character is from California is dressed in tie-dye and hated the move across the country; The New Englanders around him is embracing fall and the spooky season, all dressed in sweaters. That kid was me, a moody teen from California to a small New England city. I’m proud to say that I’m an honorary New Englander at this point — look at me swimming in pumpkins. 🎃
This is an event called “Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular: Pumpkins Around the World.” In all the years I’ve lived in Providence, this is the first time I’ve ever been. It’s truly wondrous — I love that I can still discover new things about the city I’ve been living in for so many years.
If you ever feel like you don’t have enough pumpkin in your life, come to Rhode Island!
📮 About me
Hi, I’m Sharon, I’m 25 years old born in Taiwan. I spent the last 7 years living in Rhode Island, where I studied industrial design in college. Now, I’m product designer for a startup with a mission to equalize the criminal justice system in America.
I want to make videos as a means of visual experimentation and creative outlet.
To long-time viewers // I want to express my gratitude towards everyone who said they watched my vlogs from over the years.
You might know me by my previous nickname, @duckliving (I changed my username because I wanted something I relate to more at this time in my life). I hid a lot of my older college vlogs because I have a different outlook towards social media in my adult life than my teens.
I spent my years of absence from YouTube to develop my career. In this time, I’ve stayed off social media in general to keep my focus. Everyone is so connected — when I look at my minuscule online presence over the years, it looks like I’ve done nothing even though I feel like I’ve been up to so much!
I’m very happy with my job right now because I love my coworkers and the mission we are building towards is so important.
