Creative Companion
The update you’ve been waiting for is finally here… Instacomposer 4 takes powerful MIDI generation and songwriting to the next level. Built on the foundation of one of our most popular plugins, this major overhaul introduces a completely reworked MIDI Engine, new generation modes, richer groove / melody controls, and built-in instruments and mixing.
From individual melodies, riffs and rhythms to complete songs, Instacomposer 4 conjures an infinite source of musical inspiration. The new MIDI Engine 2.0 brings improved rhythm, timing, phrasing, pitch selection and harmonic cohesion to every generation mode, while giving you even more control over how your music develops.
Musical ideas are generated procedurally using malleable rules, algorithms and configurable parameters. This isn't about handing your music-making over to AI… it's about giving you a creative co-pilot that helps you explore ideas, break through writer's block and build compositions faster.
Every result can be regenerated and explored at the press of a button, ready to be shaped by your human touch.
New: MIDI Engine 2.0
At the heart of Instacomposer 4 is a completely reworked generation engine, delivering more satisfying musical results across the many features of the plugin.
- Improved Generation: Melody, Ostinato, Chord, Rhythm and Drums modes have all been refined for better rhythmic feel, pitch selection, timing and musical cohesion.
- New Arpeggiator & Rhythm V2: Two new generation modes expand the creative possibilities for melodic and rhythmic material.
- Smarter Song Generation: Full-song generation now conjures more varied and cohesive arrangements. Experience improved chord progressions with more intentional harmonic choices.
- Timeline Playback: Jump directly to any point in your composition for faster auditioning and editing.
New: Groove, Foliage & Expressive Control
Instacomposer 4 introduces powerful new ways to shape the character and expression of your generated material.
Foliage: Add complementary notes that grow from your main melody, creating more interesting musical textures while maintaining your core ideas. Control the amount of foliage to dial in anything from subtle enhancement to dense, expressive arrangements.
Groove Controls: Take control of the feel of your patterns with new Syncopation, Gallop, Density, Burst and Congestion controls. Shape everything from tight, straight rhythms to more intricate grooves.
Humanize: Add controlled variations to timing and velocity, helping your generated MIDI move beyond a rigid, quantized feel.
New: Built-In Instruments & Mixer
Instacomposer 4 is now a complete audio instrument, allowing you to hear your compositions immediately without needing to route every track to an external plugin.
Built-In Instruments: Includes an acoustic piano and a General MIDI-style instrument collection for instant playback.
SoundFont Support: Load your own Soundfont instruments and customise the sounds used by your generated material.
Integrated Mixer: Balance your tracks, adjust the master output and add integrated reverb and delay directly inside Instacomposer.
