In this video, I share my real experience of transforming an Android TV using CleanYourTV, a project that helps customise compatible Android TVs. I used AI assistance to understand technical errors, troubleshoot problems, customise the launcher, and make decisions based on my device's configuration.
You don't have to use ChatGPT specifically! You can also use Google Gemini, Claude, or another AI assistant to help you understand technical concepts and troubleshoot issues. The key is to follow instructions carefully, check command outputs, and verify each step instead of blindly executing commands.

If your Android TV feels slow, laggy, cluttered, or filled with unwanted recommendations, this experiment explores a different approach to customising the Android TV experience.
I used the CleanYourTV project to manage selected unwanted packages, install a custom launcher, and create a clean, minimal black home screen featuring Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, and Live TV.
You'll also see the real challenges I faced, including missing development tools, setup and dependency errors, launcher configuration problems, and the issue of the original launcher reopening when I pressed the Home button.

Saved package and settings information is not a complete firmware backup, and reversing changes may not restore every original preference.
