In this Focal Mu-so Hekla review, I’m looking at Focal's new high-end Dolby Atmos soundbar. The Hekla soundbar has 660 watts of power, HDMI eARC, built-in streaming, ADAPT room tuning, and a dedicated subwoofer output. The real question is whether the Hekla can deliver serious movie and music performance without taking over your living room.
I tested the Focal Hekla as a standalone soundbar, with one external subwoofer, and with two properly integrated subs using miniDSP and Room EQ Wizard. I also compared the experience against other high-end soundbars from Bang & Olufsen, Sonos, Sony, Sennheiser, and KEF, and discuss why I think this is the best soundbar I’ve heard since B&O.
