Funny enough, these projectiles can be your own, so spells like Discus of Light, Triple Rings of Light, or Magic Downpour can proc either Carian Retaliation or Golden Retaliation with no drawback.
It's beautiful and turns you into a true artillery piece. And if I can git gud at timing and procing the Retaliations off Triple Rings of Light consistently, then you're just a machine gun.
