there are songs that seem to mean something entirely different with time. when i recorded light in your eyes, i was just a kid. i couldn’t have known then how much i would need those words years later. this clip is from one of the first 30 years of blue shows after i came back from being sick, and i don’t think i’ll ever forget how much love i felt in those rooms. the support, the kindness, the way you all sang with me… it carried me more than you know. these shows have reminded me why i do this. they’ve brought me back to the joy. and i’m so excited to be back on the road again this weekend for two california shows. if you’re nearby, come join us in stockton and temecula (ca). or pick up a ticket to any of my shows for the rest of the year (more to come soon…) head over to my substack to unlock the full video 🦋
