Description
Mississippi, 1947. A sign outside Ashwood says: don't let the sun set on you here. The Carters are a Black family driving north to Chicago, and their car runs low on gas right in the middle of town.
The streets are empty. The diner is open. Somebody set the table for exactly four. And when the sun goes down, the town finally comes out to meet them.
SUNDOWN TOWN is a full Strange Fruit episode, a Southern Gothic horror story about the real sundown towns of America and a family that turns out to be the wrong prey.
Written and directed by Dutch Jackson.
