If you’re considering using Minoxidil for hair growth, here are 5 things you need to know first!
️⃣Toxic to pets - especially cats. If you can’t control exposure around your pet, you could explore oral or non-minoxidil alternatives. I prefer the hands-free, fast-drying and no-drip Korean formulas over the typical dropper/spray applications that can be messy and harder to control.
️⃣Dread Shed is real - You could have a purge phase at the start. I personally didn’t experience enough shedding for it to be that noticeable. The purged strands are the thin, weak ones to be replaced by new stronger growth. I saw this on my scalp scan. If shedding is happening, it’s working as it should.
️⃣Lifelong commitment - literally, use it or lose it. I stopped after using it for 2 yrs and I lost the hair I gained over 3-4 months. This is maintenance.
️⃣Holistic Approach - This works better with other protocols: good nutrition (esp for GLP-1 related hair loss), supplements, topical stimulation (LLLT or massage), scalp scaling and DHT blockers if hair loss is hormone or age-related.
️⃣Minoxidil foam = less irritation. They’re propylene glycol free which is the main culprit of scalp sensitivity with the regular formulas.
