Are you stuck in the "skinny fat" trap, losing weight but looking softer? This happens when you focus on weight loss instead of Body Recomposition.
Recomp is the holy grail for men over 50: losing fat while building muscle simultaneously. How do you know if you're doing it? You need to look at the trend, not just today's data point.
If your strength in the gym is plateauing or dropping, and your waist measurement isn't shrinking despite weight loss, you might be losing valuable muscle mass. You need to look at your protein intake and training intensity immediately.
Remember, one bad workout or one heavy weigh-in doesn't mean failure. Look at the trend over the last month. Are you stronger? Is your waist tighter? That's the road to a younger, stronger physique. Ignore the daily noise and trust the long-term trend.
