Everyone's asking which college to join? What course to select? Almost no one's asking the harder question. A high score means your child can perform when someone is watching, marking, chasing. College removes all of that on day one. And that's when you find out whether the strength was theirs, or whether it belonged to the system that was holding them up. The most capable-looking students are sometimes the least ready, because they were never tested without the scaffolding. I'll be talking about this for the next few weeks. Watch this space
