Third kits were and still are one of the most requested things in Splatoon 3. Third kits are a third combination of a main, sub, and special weapon that can shake up how people play. Last year we got 30 3rd kits to celebrate the anniversary of Splatoon 1's announcement, but that still left out a lot of weapons.
