The office of U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham has announced that Senator Graham has died at the age of 71 following what was described as a brief and sudden illness. His family has asked for privacy while expressing gratitude for the prayers and support they have received. (AP News)
Senator Graham, a Republican from South Carolina, served in the United States Senate since 2003 after previously serving in the U.S. House of Representatives. Over more than two decades in the Senate, he became one of the nation’s most recognizable voices on national security, defense, and foreign policy, and in recent years was a close ally of President Donald Trump.
