THE 1981 STUDIO RECORDING: From THE POLICE's 1981’s Ghost In The Machine, SITMW has maintained its “What in the name of God is the deal rhythmically with that song???!!” since its release.
I’m here to announce a grassroots campaign to find out "the deal with it". I can tell you this: the studio recording is gushnootz with regard to where Sting's vocal rests; with the exception of the line “But it’s the rhetoric of failure “, the rest of the verse is “seated on the bar” differently.
Anyone know amyone who might be able to shed a light? THEPOLICE/STEWART COPELAND FANS UNITE!
