Joseph talks about some ideas regarding the role of the horse in modern society. Ultimate compliance or robotic perfection circumvent the true leaning and depth of the horse human relationship. Resistance or difference is what demands learning and growth. Connection, empathy, softness, kindness is what horsemanship is about. Perfection and question less compliance are not fertile environments to teach this. The gift of the horse is needed now more than ever.
