I'll be honest, when I first read of the real story of #TheLittleMermaid in a story book back when I was a child....I wept heavily as though even if she is considered "make believe" "fairytale" "illusion" etc etc....the feeling of leaving your world, losing everything you once had, sacrificing yourself all for the name of love is so familiar and incredibly excruciating.
Last October 23, 2019 after watching @selenagomez #LoseYouToLoveMe I knew that I had to make this video as
the lyric "We always go into it blindly, this dancing was killing me softly..." does go with what the Little Mermaid went through to win the Prince's heart....She blindly traded her beautiful voice for a pair of legs to enter a world she'd never been a part of and danced while every step she took will feel as if she is walking on broken glass....
