Japan is so much more than we see on social media 🇯🇵 After spending well over three months in this beautiful country, I’ve been so privileged to experience so many of its different faces. But even still, I know that I’ve barely even begun to scratch the surface. Recently, there’s been a lot of talk about over tourism in the country, but the truth is, that this really only applies to a few specific areas. Once you get out into rural japan, you’ll often find that you have some of these incredible locations entirely to yourself. That’s my biggest recommendation for the country - to get out and explore. Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka are absolutely magical places, but there’s so much more to be found outside of these major cities. This video features footage from nine different prefectures - Gunma, Hiroshima, Gifu, Tottori, Shimane, Okayama, Yamaguchi, Kanagawa and Yamanashi - I recommend every single one 🫶🏼
