It took me 20yrs to complete this reel. SD in 2002 vs 4K in 2022. @dadobr and I “participated” in the 2002 Gumball 3000 but didn’t do the 2022 event.
In 2002, only a few dozen people came to see us finish the rally in Hollywood, CA. We were happy we made it to the finish line in one piece without jail time.
The 2022 finish line was a crazy 2-day party with hundreds of spectators. The first day was featured in this reel at the Hardrock. The second day was a huge car show/celebrity charity soccer match at DRV PNK Stadium.
Nothing tops the 2002 Gumball because it was so raw. However, the 2006 Gumball "Around the World in 8 Days" was the most insane trip I've ever taken. But that's a story for another day. - Dustin Worles
