Three planets orbiting a dead star shouldn't exist. Yet they do. The first exoplanets ever discovered weren't peaceful Earth-like worlds. They were orbiting the corpse of a dead star.
For more than thirty years, astronomers have debated how these strange exoplanets came to exist. Did these rocky worlds somehow survive a supernova? Did they form around a pulsar after the explosion? Or were they captured from another star entirely?
Travel over 2,300 light-years from Earth to explore the mysterious Lich planetary system, home to Poltergeist, Phobetor and Draugr, three bizarre worlds orbiting a rapidly spinning pulsar, one of the most extreme objects in the universe.
