Hello! I arranged "The Corrupted" from KH2 as some kind of a neat orchestral-fusion for the Concert Soirée for March Caprice 6. This track was composed by Yoko Shimomura, arranged+mixed by David Russell, and mastered for the charity album by Drew Gibson / Lowlander of GameGrooves. I hope you enjoy listening!

I thought it was a little strange how "Tension Rising" played when fighting the Angelic Amber doll in KH3's Toy Box, and the initial idea of this arrangement was born from wanting to make an arrangement for this fight titled "The Corrupted -Angelic Amber-". I was thinking I would use some fun spooky instrumentation and make it sort of gritty and Resident Evil-ish early on in the process, but as you can hear, the arrangement sort of got away from me and wanted to be something else!
I was primarily inspired by "Ignition Flame" (FF7R) for the arrangement ideas in this track (driving strings, percussion focus). Later in the arranging process, I found myself playing with some ideas from Don Davis' score for The Matrix and Hans Zimmer's score for Inception. And then since this is for this year's March Caprice with the Homecoming theme, I was drawn to incorporating nostalgic material from when I was growing up. It's not from the 90s, but one of my fav films I'd replay over and over was Agent Cody Banks 2 (2004). Soooo at the end, I was searching for a way to end the track--playing around a bit with some different ideas--and on a whim, I threw in some of that theme in the style of my favorite song from that movie: the arrangement of "War (What Is It Good For)". We out here goofin babey.
