The intent of this video is not to scare or create some kind of panic. It is to merely inform you of just how fragile and how easily removable the rights of American citizens actually are. Everything I will present here is based on federal law and can be easily validated for accuracy and legitimacy. I think that the average citizen is probably completely unaware of just how vulnerable there citizens rights are. What I will discuss here is a very long standing and well established process for the government to be able to completely bypass constitutional law and legally be able to do absolutely anything they want. The loophole foundation for the government to remove the rights of citizens stems from this Excerpt from Article 1 Section 9 of the US Constitution) "The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it." The right of Habeas Corpus, is in essence the right to a hearing and lawful imprisonment.
So, if there is a situation of Rebellion or invasion that may threaten public safety, Martial Law may be invoked removing citizens rights to a hearing and lawful imprisonment. I’m sure when the founding fathers authored this Article they couldn’t even conceive the abuses that the government would impose based on this loophole. The moment the sitting president declares a national emergency, his powers extend further than normal and he has the capacity to engage within more than 100 special provisions to him. These provisions include the ability to freeze American bank accounts, shut down various forms of electronic communications, and yes, allow the activation of martial law. The U.S. President and Congress both have the power to declare a nation-wide martial law. The federal government can unquestionably suspend all Constitutional rights under martial law when the public’s safety is at risk due to a terrorist attack, civil unrest, or natural disaster. So, during a declaration Martial law or State of Emergency the government has the ability to enact certain existing laws and Acts that can remove citizens constitutional rights.
One of the biggest fundamental rights that a citizen looses is their
Fourth Amendment to the US Constitution which prohibits the unreasonable search and seizure of a person, their home, and their belongings without a search warrant. If there has been invoked a State of Emergency then everything you thought was legal can change. This is due to something called the Anti-Hoarding Act.
FEMA has the power to suspend laws, move entire populations, arrest and detain citizens without a warrant and hold them without trial, it can seize property, food supplies, transportation systems, and can suspend the Constitution. FEMA's enormous powers can be triggered so easily. Just about any form of domestic problem, such as an economic collapse, civil unrest, drug problems, terrorist attacks, and even protests against America. Any of these events can allow these emergency powers can be enacted.
The bottom line here is awareness! Just be aware that these Laws and Acts exist for a reason and can be enacted at just about any time, especially in today’s climate.
