I still remember the night I first watched Scream on VHS in 1997, a true horror movie that sparked a lifelong nostalgia for the genre. This video captures the feeling of growing up with movies and those early childhood memories of discovering films in the 1990s.
From that night on, it led me into the late 90s slasher wave, older horror films like Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween and Texas Chainsaw, and eventually the early 2000s cinema era.
I also talk about why watching Scream back then felt different from discovering it later as a classic.
