“Step by Step,” from Al Jarreau’s eponymous 1983 album; recreated by Chris Bandy from listening to the original track; performed by Chris Bandy and Prynce Charm. It may not seem like there’s a lot to it, but there are 94 tracks in Logic Pro, including 9 vocal tracks, 2 strings tracks, 6 trumpets, flutes, french horns, glockenspiel, piano, 5 electric pianos, 2 clavinets, 5 synths, 4 guitars, 2 basses, 12 drum tracks, 6 percussion tracks, and a bunch of other “administrative” tracks for editing and abandoned takes. I started working on this in November 2025, so it’s been in the works for over 5 months. Enjoy!
