I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Dylan Slocum, frontman of Spanish Love Songs, for a chat about music, guitars, songwriting and life in a band.
Spanish Love Songs have become one of my favourite bands, and they're a firm favourite of my partner's too. Their music has that brilliant combination of huge melodies, powerful guitars and lyrics that really stay with you.
If you're already a fan, you'll know exactly what I mean. And if you're new to the band, I really hope this conversation encourages you to check them out!
For me, one of the most interesting things about speaking to musicians is finding out more about the people behind the songs, what inspires them and how they approach making music. It's something I've always loved exploring on Andy Guitar, whether we're talking to established artists or exciting newer bands.
A massive thank you to Dylan for taking the time to chat. It was a real pleasure.
