Many of you are probably asking, “what does the ‘MK II’ stand for?”
Good question. It stands for “Mark 2”…meaning a model or variant. The original crossbow was released a few years ago (see links below). Little did we know it would become our most popular project…ever. Just three months after we released it we had the great honor of seeing it featured by Grant Thompson on The King of Random. Now, 3.5 years later, about 13 million people have watched the original videos and over 785,000 copies of the PDF instructions have been downloaded!
So what do we do with such a popular project? We made it better!!
Just like its predecessor, the Sonic Micro Crossbow MK II is a true gem of micro weaponry. But there are a few key differences.
First of all, the crossbow itself is made from 3D printed parts. Just download the PDF project instructions. Inside that PDF you will find links to the downloadable .stl files. These can be used with any 3D printer to produce all the crossbow bodies, limbs, handles, and target stands that you want. You’ll still need a few hardware items to complete your materials checklist - things like fasteners, o-rings, and bowstring material.
But what if you don’t have access to a 3D printer? Have no fear - project 83 is also available as a SonicDad Blue Series Kit (available on Amazon).
