Ingredients:
Urad washed and split dal 1/2 cup/120 gm
Moong washed and split dal 1/2 cup/120 gm
Ginger paste 2 tsp
Green chili paste 2 tsp
Cumin seeds/Jeera 1 tsp
Eno 2 tsp (make sure that eno is potent by mixing 1/2 tsp in a cup of hot water. If it bubbles up right away and releases carbondioxide it means that eno is potent and good to use)
Water for washing, soaking and cooking
Small steel bowls/disposable paper cups
To serve:
Khatti meethi/ Sweet and sour tamarind chutney
Green coriander and mint chutney
Yogurt thick
Salt
Red chili powder
Roasted cumin powder
Asafoetida
Chaat masala
Boiled potato optional
Pomegranate seeds optional
Cilantro/coriander leaves optional
