In Chapter 16 of 20 in his 2015 Capture Your Flag interview, bestselling author and inspirational speaker Simon Sinek answers "How are you learning to better balance service and self in how you live your life?" Sinek struggles, as serving self and others are always at odds. He finds it easy to turn down things for money and it much harder when he gets a call for service, for example being asked to speak to members of the military. Simon gets permission from a friend in the Air Force to take time off and also thinks of alternatives - other times, sending a colleague in his stead, doing video calls - to get to "yes" in serving but in different ways. In addition to writing, Sinek is an acclaimed public speaker and an adjunct professor at Columbia University.
