Description
Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is a savings scheme launched by the Government of India as a part of the "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" campaign. The scheme is aimed at encouraging parents to save for the future education and marriage expenses of their girl child.
Under the scheme, parents can open a Sukanya Samriddhi account in the name of their girl child, who should be below the age of 10 years. The account can be opened with a minimum deposit of Rs. 250 and a maximum deposit of Rs. 1.5 lakh per financial year. The account matures when the girl reaches the age of 21 years.
The scheme offers a high rate of interest which is revised every quarter. Currently, the interest rate is 7.6% per annum. The scheme also offers tax benefits as the amount deposited in the account is eligible for deduction under section 80C of the Income Tax Act, and the interest earned and maturity amount is tax-free.

सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना भारत सरकार द्वारा शुरू की गई एक बचत योजना है जो "बेटी बचाओ, बेटी पढ़ाओ" अभियान का हिस्सा है। इस योजना के अंतर्गत वे माता-पिता बचत कर सकते हैं जो अपनी बेटी के भविष्य के लिए बचत करना चाहते हैं।
