The *Shiva Aparadha Kshamapana Stotram* is a beautiful and profound prayer composed by Adi Shankara, invoking Lord Shiva's forgiveness for all the sins committed by body, speech, or mind, knowingly or unknowingly, in this life or past lives. The 14th shloka, commonly known as the *Shiva Dhyana Mantra*, is particularly powerful in cleansing the mind and soul, removing negativity, and enhancing one's ability to focus and concentrate.
### *Shiva Dhyana Mantra (14th Shloka of Shiva Aparadha Kshamapana Stotram)*
#### *Verse 1:*
|| करचरण कृतं वा
कायजं कर्मजं वा
श्रवणनयनजं वा
मानसं वाऽपराधम् ||
*Meaning:*
O Lord Shiva, I seek your blessings and forgiveness for all the sins committed by my hands, feet, speech, actions, ears, eyes, or mind.
- *करचरण कृतं वा (Karacharana Kritam Vaa):* Whatever sins have been committed through actions performed by my hands and feet,
- *कायजं कर्मजं वा (Kaayajam Karmajam Vaa):* Whether they were produced by my speech and body, or through my works,
- *श्रवणनयनजं वा (Shravana Nayanjam Vaa):* Whether they were produced by my ears and eyes,
- *मानसं वाऽपराधम् (Maanasam Vaaparadham):* Or sins committed by my mind.
