I filmed this whilst attending the "Fab World of Anderson" event which took place at Leicester’s National Space Centre June 2019.

Studio2Models make amazing working models.
Here they show us two brilliant Studio Scale Models working together where the SHADO Mobile can enter and leave the Transporter.
The Shado Mobile Transporter is the latest project completed only early in 2019 and the first time I have seen it working. Amazing details down to the sounds.

Background on the UFO TV Show:
UFO is a 1970 British science fiction television series about the ongoing covert efforts of a government defence organisation to prevent an alien invasion of Earth. It was created by Gerry Anderson and Sylvia Anderson with Reg Hill, and produced by the Andersons and Lew Grade's Century 21 Productions for Grade's ITC Entertainment company.

Like all Anderson productions the vehicle designs and amazing realised models make it feel like watching a far bigger budget production that would normally be spent on a TV Show.
The SHADO Mobiles worked in teams of three. There were multiple teams around the world. Similarly with the static display model of SkyDiver (end of video), there were several SkyDiver's deployed strategically.
The defence fleet consisted of S.I.D. (Space Intruder Detector), a sentient satellite that would make initial sitings; Moon based missile-carrying Interceptors would launch from the lunar base comprising the first line of defence; there were other lunar based tanks and laser weapons, but these played a minor role unless the moon itself was the target of an attack next up would be a roving, bipartite submarine called Skydiver, the nozzle of which was a fighter jet that detached from the sub and counter-attack any UFOs that got through into the Earth’s atmosphere. The last guard were the all-terrain SHADO-mobiles, armoured and laser-bearing trucks to hunt down landed aliens where co-ordinates were available. These would be flown in aircraft or driven around in the U-Haul Markers Universal Transport vehicle.
There were a number of other ancillary and support craft in SHADO, including a floating lunar transporter, an Earth-moon shuttle, a 747-scale troop carrier and a very snazzy helicopter, not to mention Straker’s sleek
