Sexarbori is an Epic Folk Metal attempt to blend Basque and Celtic cultures. It mixes Basque instruments such as the alboka and the pandero with Celtic ones like the Irish whistle and bodhran.
The song tells about the most prominent tree god of the Aquitanii (the linguistic ancestors of today's Basque people). Sexarbori stands for the god of the six trees, which shows possible worship on sacred groves by native Basques like the Celts did in their Nemetons.
Despite being its name of Latin origin, other tree gods of basque onomastic have been found in the region, such as Areixo, Leheren and Artahe, and also others of Celtic origin as Abellion, which is linguistically related to the so-known Arthurian myth of Avalon.
This single is released under Tartalo Music, but also as Herriburdin, my new side project. It focuses on recreating old melodies from Tartalo Music into Epic Folk Metal tunes.

It is difficult to classify this son in a single genre. It could be considered Folk metal or Epic Folk metal, but also Celtic metal, Celtic Folk Metal or epic Celtic folk metal due to the use of the Irish whistles and the bodhran. But it also has elements of Basque folk and could also be considered pagan metal or pagan folk metal due to where it draws inspiration from.
