This song from Sam Smith’s Gloria album has a fast, regular and compulsive beat. Although the lyric is sad — the longing to cling to a failing relationship — this track is clearly for dancing to. A must for discos. The track is also notable for show-casing Sam’s remarkable voice — its flexibility, distinctive timbre, effortless movement from high to low notes and changes in tempo; most of all emotional expression.
Since I thought the song was too short, I used both the vocal and the instrumental track to create an extended edit.
For the video I used bits & pieces of footage I have found on the internet many, many years ago.
