Shoplifting has become more frequent in Portland (and I'm sure in your city as well). Every time someone complains about it, I've noticed 3-5 sympathizers bashing you for not letting "Poor", "Desperate" people walk out of the store with up to hundreds (sometimes thousands) of dollars of merch, so they sell it themselves. It's sickening seeing people take advantage of a situation, knowing they have a wall of sympathizers they can hide behind. So, I've documenting anytime I see a shoplifting in progress or an attempt to stop one. Most times I've noticed that the items stolen aren't life sustaining foods, its mainly junk food and booze...
The Downtown Safeway suffers more shoplifting at this location than any other Safeway in the state of Oregon, as it's rumored that this is the busiest location in the state.
