Description
Alexander Dugin, the Russian ideologue often called "Putin's brain," wrote a book on conspiracy theories as a weapon of information warfare. Almost nobody in the West has read it.
David Reaboi found it on a Russian-language conspiracy site whose writers turned out to be FSB and GRU, and the site went dark right before Russia's invasion of Crimea. We break down what Dugin says is the most potent conspiracy theory of all, why conspiracism "breaks brains," and why the entire counter-disinformation industry missed this for over a decade.
