Description
You've run Polars on a GPU and scaled it across multiple GPUs. Now take it to the cloud. In this third session of the Polars livestream series, we run the same Polars code on a single-node AWS EC2 instance (NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000), reading data from S3. We start with a simple query, benchmark CPU vs. GPU, then build a visualization live.
What you'll learn:
- Run GPU Polars queries on a single-GPU AWS EC2 instance
- How to read Parquet from S3 and switch a Polars query to the GPU engine with one line
- How CPU vs. GPU Polars compare, and how to visualize results fast
- Common challenges reading data from the cloud, and how to avoid them
Join us as we run the code and answer questions throughout the session.
