Rocky Marciano enters as the underdog against the naturally bigger and younger but equally experienced Rex Layne. Layne was an 11-5 favourite due to his better quality opposition and youth advantage but as the World would find out, Rocky was a lot more devastating than his size and personable demeanour would suggest.
