Roadside drug testing is here. New Zealand Police can now test drivers with a saliva test. Anytime, anywhere. This tests for the recent use of cannabis, methamphetamine, cocaine and MDMA. If a driver tests positive for one or more of those drugs at the roadside, a saliva sample will be collected and sent to a laboratory to test for 25 prescription medications and illicit drugs.
