🔥10 YEARS OF #risegoji 🔥
It’s officially been 10 years since RiseGoji first debuted in GODZILLA RISE FOR DESTRUCTION!
Released on June 16th, 2016 RiseGoji was my first ever attempt at a fan made Godzilla design! While a few people at the time stated RiseGoji was inspired by official Godzilla (2014) concept art I’m here to officially rebuke that rumor, as I never actually seen those pieces of concept art up until it was brought my attention & here to clarify that RiseGoji was inspired by the one Godzilla that made me the Godzilla fan I am today! Godzilla (1998) 🙌🏼Godzilla 98’ was my main inspiration for creating RiseGoji. I looked at both the main design for Godzilla 98’, Godzilla Jr. 98’ from the animated series & a few pieces of concept art for Godzilla 98’, i wanted to look at this design & think “Oh yeah, this definitely could’ve been the Godzilla 1998 design. That was my ultimate goal with RiseGoji when I first designed it way back in April of 2015 & I still carry those traits with me 10 years later! RiseGoji was also inspired by a few other Godzilla incarnations such as Godzilla (2000), GMK Godzilla, Godzilla (2004), & Godzilla (2014) But was also inspired by real animals such as crocodiles, Orca Whales, Disney’s Dinosaur Aladar & Disney’s Dinosaur Carnotaur.
The Godzilla community’s reaction to RiseGoji was extremely divided when he appeared in GODZILLA RISE FOR DESTRUCTION, as many were calling my film a Godzilla (1998) copy & Godzilla (2014) copy which i admit, of course my first film were going to take huge inspirations to a few of my favorite Godzilla movies at the time, but one things for sure. RiseGoji was created with fresh original vision! It’s hard to prove to some people, but what I knew in my heart is that RiseGoji was not only loved by me, but loved by so many within the Godzilla community & the love continues to grow stronger each year! RiseGoji has been tremendously loved over the years by thousands! From receiving fan art, fan made RiseGoji content, & even fan made RiseGoji figures! & I did my absolute best to keep all of those precious gifts close to me over the years as those memories keep RiseGoji going!❤️🔥

RISEGOJI THE PEACEKEEPER. A creature that not only stays alert with any kind of danger that dares to challenge him, but he also has a heavy heart to toll with. Once you mess with something or someone that he truly cares about, you mess with him...Cranking out new abillities everyday that sometime's RiseGoji can't help but deal with the pain.
RISEGOJI was supposed to feature in a LIVE ACTION project called RISEGOJI, Directed by Luis Duran, but cancelled in 2018/2019.
RISEGOJI had many minor design changes, but always looked almost the same each time keeping the classic RiseGoji design fresh in people's minds. RiseGoji went through a few figure & LIVE ACTION idea's as well... Which could always be a possible future for the character with your guy's support!
