Every time I ride in the Philippines it seems I'm having close calls, multiple times a day, I admit I ride a bit to aggressive. You all have said it was going to happen and here it is... No laughing this one off, no time to slow down or move out of the way, especially with the antilock brakes not working. When the bike went up on the front tire it felt like forever, I can still remember thinking (oh, so this is what riding a stoppie feels like) then once I flipped the slow motion feeling was completely gone. This was extremely painful It felt like my insides were mangled, and even though when I closed one eye and couldn't see (was like colors were speared as if you ran your hand across a wet painting). even though I couldn't see right that didn't concern me at all. I honestly though I had internal bleeding and was going to die. A lot of really nice people stopped to help me, including the guy I was in an accident with. They helped me to the sidewalk as when I tried to get up I fell back down. They also moved my bike and got all of my stuff for me. Big thank you to all of you kind people! Riding home was a journey, every bump hurt as my hands wrists and elbows were so sore and they only got worse as time went by, It took us 8 hours to finally reach pico de loro.
