Description
RIP front-end development for junior developers. Five years ago you could learn HTML, CSS, a little JavaScript and React, and there was a job waiting for you. That pipeline is done, and AI is the reason.

Most junior front-end roles were support work: build a landing page, change a few things on a page, fix a bug in a component, fix the form validation. AI does that in under a minute now. Front-end isn't going away and companies still need software engineers, but the route for a beginner to get hired that way is over. Companies want someone at a mid to senior level.
So I walk through where the entry-level jobs went: web content manager, SEO specialist, accessibility specialist, tracking and testing, email marketing specialist, e-commerce specialist. Roles where you use web skills to help a business make money, get real names on your resume, and put money in your pocket while you keep learning. I also share my own test: I applied to jobs on a weekend the same way I teach my students and got 7 responses, 3 interviews and 2 offers in one week.
